We are a leading specialty retailer and direct marketer of vitamins, minerals, herbs, supplements, sports nutrition and other health and wellness products (VMS). For each of the past six years, we have been the second largest in retail sales and one of the fastest growing national VMS specialty retailers. Our broad product offering enables us to provide our target customers with a selection of products not readily available at other specialty VMS retailers or mass merchants, such as drugstore chains and supermarkets.
We have grown our net sales from $436.5 million in Fiscal 2005 to $856.6 million in Fiscal 2011 and have achieved positive comparable store sales for 18 consecutive years (prior to which we did not track comparable store sales).
We sell our products through two business segments: retail and direct. In our retail segment, we have opened a total of 264 new stores from the beginning of Fiscal 2006 through Fiscal 2011.
