National Restaurant Development group (NRD Holdings) owns and manages 36 locations of quick-service and fast-casual restaurants, and heading the executive leadership team is the Nation’s Restaurant News Franchisee of the Year (2005).
Despite NRD’s stellar reputation and performance, the franchise was not maximizing its potential. Most importantly, NRD wasn’t attracting and hiring the caliber of frontline staff it desired.

In March of 2010, the company plugged into Snagajob’s suite of hiring solutions. The goal was to deliver better quality candidates, inform the company of its key metrics, and ensure these numbers were industry leading.
NRD hiring managers have embraced the cohesion and consistency that Snagajob’s talent management suite has contributed to its hiring practices. Not only has the automated management of applicants increased hiring and operational efficiencies – from interviewing to organizing paperwork – but it’s elevated the profile of NRD’s hourly workers. Hourly candidates have demonstrated a substantial upswing in professionalism, positive attitude and performance. Overall, turnover was reduced 20 percent within 90 days of rollout to 85 percent, 25 percent of all locations reduced turnover by at least 40 percent from Q1 to Q2, and 56 percent of all general manager openings in 2011 were filled by internal promotions.
