Which Wich® Superior Sandwiches is a quick service restaurant that opened in 2003 and now has over 150 locations across the country.
They recently opened their first Richmond location and partnered with Snagajob to source and assess hourly workers.
This is their story…
My name is Reema Patel and I am the owner of Which Wich® Superior Sandwiches in Richmond. Hiring to my business is very important. I don’t like turnover so I want to hire somebody that is very well balanced and who can provide the excellent customer service, but can also be very hardworking and do a good job.
Before using Snagajob I was mainly just going on Craigslist trying to find potential candidates through there or even word-of-mouth. After Snagajob it’s been much easier for me.
I actually heard about Snagajob through another franchisee up in Charlottesville and he told me that he had great success with it. He still has everybody that he’s hired through Snagajob so I decided to give it a try.
My doubts and concerns about Snagajob were that it was just going to be one of those side companies that I wasn’t going to be dealing with so much—I would hire them but they wouldn’t really give me much of a turnout. Now, I constantly get about five to six Snagajob applications a week and I can completely weed out who I want to interview and potentially hire versus who I don’t. I don’t have to have a second and third interview.
What Snagajob has done for me is it has a personal assessment and I basically review a candidate’s application based on that, and then I just do one interview and really it’s right on the dot. Before I used to have to have two or three interviews because I really didn’t grasp how the candidate was and I really couldn’t see what their personality was.
What a business can expect from working with Snagajob is probably very good customer service, very hands on and helpful, and obviously you’re going to find really good candidates, especially when it comes to the behavioral assessment, which has been really good for me. I think you’re really going to be able to pinpoint who you want and who you don’t want, and for what position.
I do plan on opening other stores. Being this store and having that first number of employees, they’re going to be helping me train the other stores so I need to have the best possible candidates. I think Snagajob has been helping me with that a lot and I know that they’re going to help me with future stores too.
