Snagajob to host Richmond simulcast of The Lean Startup

Richmond-based Snagajob, America’s largest hourly employment network for job seekers and employers, will host a simulcast of The Lean Startup Conference on Dec. 3, 2012, 11:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. The conference will be streamed live at Snagajob’s headquarters in Innsbrook.
The Lean Startup Conference brings together innovators from startups, Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and non-profit organizations to share lessons for building profitable lean organizations. As the official simulcast partner for Richmond, Va., Snagajob is offering a chance for Richmond-area entrepreneurs to tap into this San Francisco-based conference.
“Richmond has a thriving and motivated startup environment and we’re excited to bring this extraordinary learning opportunity to our community,” said Tom Illmensee, director of user experience at Snagajob. “As a successful startup organization, Snagajob always is looking for ways to not only help other startups find success, but to also continue improving our approach to support growth and stay innovative.”
Attendees at the simulcast will hear more than 30 entrepreneurs speak about their first-hand experiences, with keynotes including:
– Marc Andreessen, co-founder and general partner at Andreessen Horowitz
– Steve Blank, serial entrepreneur, author, lecturer at Stanford University
– Beth Comstock, chief marketing officer at GE
– Eric Ries, author of “The Lean Startup”
The simulcast will be held at Snagajob’s headquarters located at 4851 Lake Brook Drive, Glen Allen, Va. Networking with local entrepreneurs and startups will take place 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., and the conference stream will go live at 12:00 p.m.
Snacks will be provided and local food trucks will arrive for dinner service at 6:00 p.m.
