Sentara Nursing Supervisor
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overall clinical supervision of facility Nursing Staff and resident care during shift.
Responsibilities include:
- Provides supervision to unit nursing staff and addresses clinical issues.
- Interprets and implements Nursing services, policies and procedures, supports and foster the philosophy of Nursing Service Department.
- Assists in staff development and continuing education activities.
- Makes staff work and Unit assignments, and makes adjustments as needed.
- Participates on the Care Plans Team.
- Carries out or assists with diagnostic, therapeutic and routine nursing procedures as well as other general duties and assignments.
Minimum Qualifications:
You must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school and current VA RN license required. 1-2 years experience in ICF/SNF setting preferred. Must obtain Basic Life Support certification within 3 months of hire.

Sentara CNA-LTC
Performs basic and routine patient care, such as personal hygiene, feeding, vital signs, intake/output, ambulation, patient transport, etc..
Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred; graduate of a state approved Certified Nursing Program. No previous experience necessary. Current certification as a Nursing Assistant Required. Must be at least 18 years of age. You also must have the ability to operate basic patient care equipment such as lift devices; and be able to lift 50 pounds.

Sentara LPN
Monitors residents’ condition; develops and implements nursing care plans; performs routine nursing procedures and treatments; assists physicians and/or RN with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; administers medications; documents nursing care in patient medical records; maintains narcotic and medication records; communicates nursing observations and concerns to other members of the health care team. Minimum Qualifications: You must be a Graduate of a National League of Nursing or State Board of Nursing accredited LPN program. 3 years previous nursing experience preferred but not required. Current licensure as a LPN in the state of Virginia; ACLS preferred. Must obtain Basic Life Support certification within 3 months of hire.
