SnagAJob.com is always seeking fresh, innovative ways to make the job seeker experience as positive as possible.

We conduct research, examine trends, consult the constellations and occasionally resort to “paper, scissors, rock.”

Let’s get to the point: SnagAJob.com has undergone a website makeover. This isn't coming at any inconvenience to job seekers – everything is working fine. In fact, everything is working a bit better than usual. And don’t get scared, our quick and easy job search tools and functionality haven't disappeared or received any dramatic changes. But we have made several upgrades.

Here are a few of those enhancements:

• Let employers find you: You’re used to only having one-way communication with potential employers – by submitting your application and waiting for a call back. That’s all changed. Now employers in your area can read your profile and contact you if you fit their needs. In other words, you want to make sure MC Hammer wasn’t on top of the music charts the last time you updated your profile. You also want to make sure you’re opted in for this free feature so that your profile is visible to employers. To ensure you are, follow these steps: Log in, select “Profile” or “Edit profile,” click the edit box in the “Contact” section, and select “Yes” for the question, “Add my profile to your database so employers can find me.”
  
• Boost your job search: Our new, advanced job search capabilities allow you to narrow your initial search and hone in on the right job, whether you’re looking for job opportunities with a specific company or within five miles of your home.
  
• Sleek new design: Just like car companies are always searching out new ways to make the latest models shinier and prettier, you’ll notice that SnagAJob.com has made several design enhancements throughout the website. We just hope no other sites are wearing the same thing – now that would be embarrassing.
  
• Hire Learning job articles: We’ve revamped and reorganized our job advice educational articles to better serve our job seekers. Whether you’re looking for tips on landing your first job or you’re a 55-plus job seeker looking to get back in the saddle, we have the right expert advice for you.

That’s a lot to take in. And there’s more to come. Later this year, we’ll be introducing a new community section, which will include everything from polls to contests and much, much more. Think of it as Main Street for hourly job seekers and workers – we just won’t have the barbershop.
