Deli Clerk
A Deli Clerk is responsible for ensuring all store deli cases remain stocked and clean during business hours. They are required to assist customers and co-workers as instructed by supervisors. This position requires adhering to all procedural guidelines set by the Deli Department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversees the stocking and maintenance of deli cases; requires delegating as needed to ensure adequate presentation of product, good selection/variety, and correct pricing and product dating to maintain appropriate rotation of deli goods.
- Oversees the deli counter; ensures prompt assistance is provided to customers and that staff is offering advice on selection, preparation and packaging of deli products.
- Oversees the cleaning of deli cases; requires delegating as needed to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all deli surfaces.
- Assists Food Service Manager with purchasing, receiving, stocking, rotation of product and inventory of department as requested.
- Monitors and maintains deli department merchandising displays and signage.
- Monitors and maintains cleanliness and organization of deli department.
- Walks deli department regularly to ensure an organized and clean appearance at all times.
- Must follow federal and state sanitation guidelines.
Requirements:
- Previous food service knowledge a plus
- Outgoing, friendly , and positive attitude

- Must have excellent training / coaching / leadership skills

- Must be able to stand for entire scheduled shift
- Dexterity in hands to wrap and package product
- Must be able to bend, lift, and twist with 50 lbs.
