The Business Unit CMO role serves as one of the Business Unit President's top business leaders to help drive business strategy, plan, and results. The incumbent translates business strategy into marketing strategy and plan and is the key decision maker for Business Unit marketing plans with alignment of the BU leadership team and Format marketing teams. This role collaborates with SHC senior marketing team/marketing resources to assure execution excellence and works as a change agent within the BU Leadership Team to drive transformational change within the BU.

Qualifications:
1) Multi-media experience in Print, Online, TV and Micro/event marketing.

2) Financial acumen

     a) ROI focus and incremental return

     b) Financial projection modeling capabilities that highlight plus over normal return for marketing spend

     c) Regional marketing approach: identify optimum geographic spend that will maximize return

     d) Competitive analysis: focus on optimum response to mitigate competitor marketing initiative

3) Utilization of credit card levers and financing options

4) Understanding of services - ability to highlight and integrate Sears/Kmart services with our advertising and in store/online presentation.

5) Focus on overall customer experience - integrate our product, branding and service messages into all marketing, floor presentation and online experiences.

6) Business growth and opportunity presentation - have the ability to work with the merchants and vendor community to prepare, present and deliver new business concepts.

7) Brand and private label development experience

8) Ability to develop cool opps. and improve advertising creative that resonates with customers
