Job Description
The Prep Cook must maintain complete knowledge of all menu, deli and buffet items, and be able to prepare these items to Flying J’s specifications. It is imperative for the Prep Cook to maintain personal hygiene and a clean, sanitized work area. Prep Cook will also sweep, mop, wash ceilings, scrub grills as part of their job duties.
As a Prep Cook, you will need to meet the following requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, etc. Must be able to work around high temperature equipment and understand and use units of measure. Food Handler’s permit required where applicable. All employees must complete a background check and hair follicle drug testing, except where prohibited by state law.
