Cheese Clerk
The Cheese Clerk is responsible for keeping all store cheese cases stocked and clean during business hours. They are required to assist customers as needed and maintain a friendly, energetic demeanor at all times. This position requires adhering to all procedural guidelines set by the Cheese Department.
Responsibilities
- Maintains cheese cases; requires cutting, packaging, weighing, and pricing all different types of cheeses.
- Ensures creative presentation, accuracy of promotional signage and an abundant variety and selection of product (includes making samples available)
- Stocks and rotates olive bar daily
- Uses knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label cheese.
- Assists customers in offering advice on selection, pricing and packaging of cheese products. Overall customer service includes greeting, listening, and helping customers in any way possible
Requirements
- This is an entry level position where previous experience in a healthy grocery retail environment is preferred, but not required
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
