Store Manager

Sears Outlet Stores, a member of the Sears Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ: SHLD) family of companies, provide overstocked, returned and/or distressed home appliances, big screen TVs and mattresses to customers by offering the merchandise at a 15 to 50 percent discount off the regular retail price. Currently, there are over 75 Sears Outlet stores throughout the United States.


The Store Coach is responsible for the overall (P&L) financial performance of the store. This includes merchandise sales, credit and other miscellaneous revenues, expense management, and achievement of planned cost recovery goals. The Store Manager is also accountable for customer satisfaction, associate morale and the reverse flow of Home Delivery inventory from the Direct Delivery, Contract Sales, Retail Stores through the receipt of merchandise from the Outlet Redistribution Center and Vendor Direct Merchandise Receipts.

The Store Manager ensures that corporate programs and policies are executed in a way that maximizes store cost recovery, through superior customer service and both associate and asset productivity. The Store Manager ensures that Outlet Store presentation standards are maintained at the highest possible level. The Store Manager is also a role model within the unit for abiding by and holding others accountable for the Code of Business Conduct and overall business practices. Leads by example with the highest level of integrity.

Qualifications:
- Proactively leads the store to ensure achievement of business goals in revenue, expense reduction, cost recovery, customer satisfaction, inventory shrinkage, and associate morale.

- Selects, coaches, and develops strong and effective supervisor/lead associates.

- Develops a diverse, high performance team. Takes action as needed to ensure that all associates fully contribute to the store efforts.

- Actively manages the customer experience within the stores.

- Adheres to operational and selling processes (e.g., Shipping, Receiving, Pricing, Acct. 112, Deluxing,, and Testing) and ensures performance standards are met.

- Manages all HR transactional processes including staffing and training; and assists in action plans to improve performance.

- Ensures consistency of operational processes within the store.

- Fully optimizes protection agreements, credit, and other miscellaneous income opportunities within the store.

- Monitors and reacts to profitable revenue opportunities and aggressively supports vendor liquidation opportunities to improve gross margin and cost recovery.

- Positively represents the Outlet Store Organization to all Sears partners within the local market.

- Understands and communicates to District, Region and Home Office Staff, ideas or activities that would lead to cost recovery improvements.

- Ensures that the store operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

- Provides a safe working environment for both associates and customers.
