Line Person

The Line Person’s primary responsibility is serving the guest. As one of the first Co-workers who has the opportunity to make a positive impression on the guest, the Line Person must be attentive, helpful, and pleasant in appearance and personality. The Line Person should treat all Golden Corral guests as if they were guests in his or her own home and sustain an environment that is inclusive and welcoming for all guests.



Requirements:
  • Experience in foodservice preferred, but not required.
  • Proof of food handler certification may be required for individuals in those applicable states.
  • must have a positive, outgoing personality, and be a team player
  • must enjoy dealing with the public, and be able to interact with our guests
  • must be willing to work hard at a fast pace
  • must be willing to learn the job expectations, and continue to learn
  • should have had no more than 3 jobs in the past three years
  • be willing to pass a drug screen test
  • be willing to clean-as-you-go in your area, as well as clean restrooms

Job requirements

Additional
  • Position requires standing and walking 3-4+ hours without a rest break.
  • Regular, moderate-to-heavy (5-50 lbs.) lifting and carrying; bending and reaching is required.
  • Work environment requires the use of tools such as mops, brooms, mop buckets and carts and a forceful grip is required for the use of these tools.
  • Work setting is within the restaurant.
  • Pushing and pulling is required for cleaning responsibilities, as needed.
  • Compliance with position uniform standards and adherence to all company policies and house rules are required.
  • Weekends are required.
  • must learn and adhere to all sanitation practices within all areas of the restaurant
  • must learn and execute proper equipment cleaning and maintenance, to include deep cleaning
  • must have a reliable method of transportation to and from work
  • must maintain and present a clean, crisp and pressed appearance at all times, to include personal hygiene and clothing
  • must learn and adhere to all safety practices within all areas of the restaurant
  • must be able to work at a fast pace for long periods of time, and be able to multi-task
  • must be able to read, comprehend and retain recipes, procedures, steps of service, cleaning lists, side duties, temperature logs, etc...
