

Under close supervision of the Inventory Supervisor, Inventory Manager, and/or the Area Manager, the Inventory Associate performs physical inventories. Inventory Associates must conduct these inventories in a timely, accurate and effective manner. Performance by the Inventory Associate in these inventories must meet Company productivity and profitability standards. The position requires a customer friendly focus for both internal and external customers.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Efficiently and accurately count items and correctly enter the count or data into the data terminal through keying or scanning.
- Meet or exceed the Company’s productivity goals. Proceed through the job site as directed by management. Maintain a steady workflow by moving efficiently between tags.
- Present a professional image to our customers at all times. The IA is expected to meet Company Dress Code and appearance standards.
- Consult inventory schedules on a daily basis and arrive at all scheduled inventories on time.
- Continuously strive to improve counting skills through block counting, touch keying, cross training and specialty areas, etc while maintaining accuracy.
- Ask questions when unsure of store instructions, customer expectations, or policies or if anything is unclear. Communicate suggestions, which might result in improved productivity or efficiencies; or any idea that will improve the overall conduct of an inventory.
- Promote and participate in safety awareness and accident prevention programs and help to create a culture of safe practices in the workplace.
- May be required to perform additional duties associated with the Crew Manager function.
