Community Health Systems Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) Job Overview

Title: LPN/LVN - Senior Mental Health Unit (36 hrs/wk 7p-7a)
Location: MO-Moberly (Columbia region)
* The LPN/LVN shall perform duties consistent with the Missouri LPN/LVN Nursing Practice Act.
* Provide those service requiring nursing skills in accordance with the plan of care.
* Prepare documentation and clinical notes.
* Educate and instruct the patient, patient's family, or staff as required
* Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards.
* Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stressful conditions.
* Participates in the theraputic treatment program for psychiatric patients under the supervision of the registered nurse.

Education:
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an nursing degree.
Experience:
* One year hospital nursing experience preferred but not required.
* Previous psychiatric nursing experience preferred but not required.
Licenses/Certificates:
* Must be licensed in state of Missouri as a LPN Nurse or be eligible for licensing.
* Must have Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or complete upon hire.
* IV Therapy Certification preferred but not required.
* Must have Crisis Prevention Certification or complete upon hire.
