We are currently accepting applications for:

Assistant Head Cashier

As a Assistant Head Cashier, your job responsibilities will include:

  • Performing Excellent Customer Service—greeting of all customers, acknowledging every customer when they come within 10 feet of you (our 10-foot Rule), and assisting our customers in the shopping experience in a courteous and business like manner
  • Operating the store’s point of sale computer system in handling all types of customer transactions in a fast and courteous manner
  • Assisting with the replenishment of merchandise on the sales floor including filing merchandise, use of hand held pricing tools and/or hand held computerized scanners, assisting in setting up displays and/or advertised items and keeping all of our merchandise available for customer purchase
  • Presenting the company Extended Service Plans to all customers on each qualifying product sold (will earn additional income!)
  • Answering questions and handling any problems either directly or by phone to ensure 100% customer satisfaction
  • Helping maintain the store appearance through general housekeeping tasks
  • Assisting with the operations of the Point of Sale computer system including approving various transactions that require multiple review; maintaining sufficient change required by the cashiers register operation; managing records and reports and being responsible for store office duties in the absence of the store Head Cashier
  • Collecting, organizing and filing information as well as performing basic computer data entry, 10-key calculator, working closely with the general public, and answering phone calls
  • Must be familiar with general record keeping and accounting procedures and must have good cash handling skills and be familiar with deposit and banking procedures

Job requirements

Minimum Age
18+ years old
Additional
Retail or customer service experience preferred. Knowledge of hand, air, or power tools helpful. Good comunication and customer service skills required. Should be familiar with basic computer knowledge, general record keeping and cash handling.
