Friendly's Ice Cream Fountain/Carryout Job Overview

Job Responsibilities

  • Responds immediately by doing whatever it takes to achieve “100% Guest Satisfaction 100% of the Time”
  • Displays good personal hygiene and follows all appearance standards.
  • Makes Guests feel welcome at every opportunity.
  • Prepares all fountain products according to standards.
  • Follows all Food Safety guidelines.
  • Uses all equipment safely and correctly.
  • Sells Carryout orders quickly and accurately.
  • Collects cash/credit per FIC standards.
  • Places grill orders to standard.
  • Prepares/packages/delivers all Carryout orders to standard.
  • Coordinates dessert preparation.

    • General

  • Answers phone.
  • Cleans and stocks restrooms every half hour.
  • Collects cash.
  • Runs dishes through dishwasher.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned.
  • Seats Guests.

    Daily Operating Procedures

  • Sets floor mats.
  • Cleans ice cream spills from patio. Picks up papers and cigarette butts.
  • Sets up/breaks down dipperwells. Pulls/cleans scoops.
  • Assembles/disassembles Coke nozzles.
  • Brings out/opens patio umbrellas. Cleans patio tables and seats.
  • Empties exterior trash cans if 2/3 full or more. Changes liner/rinses container.
  • Cleans Carryout ledges and registers.
  • Brings out topping ladles/other utensils and empties bus pans for dirty dishes.
  • Turns on fudge warmer(s). Checks water level in fudge warmers.
  • Turns on soft serve machine.
  • Sets up multi-mixer/checks plug.
  • Checks/stocks all food products and paper/plastic supplies.
  • Checks half gallon cabinet(s). Clean and stocked.
  • Ensures marketing materials clean and up to date.
  • Cleans all windows and mirrors.
  • Rotates, cleans and stocks all candy/topping containers.
  • Sweeps floor.
  • Empties and replaces bus pans.
  • Wipes out fountain refrigerator(s).
  • Wipes off all shelves/containers in Fountain/Carryout area.
  • Cleans/wipes down register(s) and POS screen(s).
  • Stocks glassware.
  • Stocks and rotates fudge. Covers and puts away in Ante Room.
  • Cleans Multi-mixer.
  • Cleans Cyclone machine(s).
  • Cleans soft serve machine.
  • Cleans microwave (if applicable).
  • Cleans milk dispenser.
  • Cleans tops and sides of all ice cream cabinets.
  • Puts soft serve machine on Standby.
  • Empties and cleans pouch sanitizer tub or sink.
  • Empties trash and changes liners.
  • Brings floor mats to Service Room.
  • Closes, removes and brings in patio umbrellas.
