POSITION SUMMARY:
The number one job function of a cashier it to check out customer’s orders in an accurate and efficient manner using the correct scanning or ringing method. Courteous and friendly service will be provided to all customers, directing those who need further assistance. Cashiers minimize losses and maintain security and provide miscellaneous duties as necessary.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: (Essential Duties and Responsibilities)
- Provides exceptional customer service
- Processes transactions in an accurate and efficient manner
- Performs routine calculations
- Assists customers with bagging groceries
- Possesses good skills with dealing with customers and co-workers
