Maintenance Staff

Maintenance Staff are typically responsible for the following items:

  • Clean up of hotel grounds/facilities
  • Maintain Pool/Spa
  • Mechanical Repairs
  • Painting/Plumbing/Electrical Work
  • Preventative Maintenance of Hotel Facilities
  • Shuttle Runs as necessary, must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Individual and Physical Requirements:

  • Speak fluently in English
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 75lbs or more
  • Ability to bend, crouch, stoop frequently
  • Stand/Walk Constantly
  • Clean Driving Record
  • At least 1 years’ experience with Electrical work, Painting, Plumbing, and related experience in the facilities maintenance field.

The Microtel Inn Atlanta Airportis looking for a dynamic and seasoned Engineer II. The ideal candidate will possess 1-2 years of previous experience as an Engineer II. Hotel experience preferred. The duties include but are not limited to:
Major Responsibilities
Empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our guests at all times, take pride in representing JHM Hotels professionally with our guests and assuring that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
Understand and apply all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for associates and guests at all times. In the event of an accident or emergency, get medical attention if necessary and contact GM or MOD. Responsible for making sure a Workers Comp or General Liability claim is filed within 24?hours.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, as well as the local area to effectively assist guests.
Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company associates to foster and promote a positive working environment.
Essential Job Functions
Inspects all operating systems and components of the hotel to ensure they are operating properly, efficiently and safely, as directed by Chief Engineer.
Promptly responds to front desk reports of guest problems or concerns, informs the front desk when action is complete so the front desk can perform Courtesy Call Back telephone calls.
Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, or makes recommendations for repairs, as assigned: all mechanical/electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems, all building components and furniture, fixtures and equipment.
Maintains the grounds daily, including landscaping and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe and attractive manner.
Performs the PM schedule on a timely basis, ensuring that all elements of the guest room meet the standards of the brand.
Performs painting, carpentry, plumbing, emergency carpet cleaning and other jobs as necessary.
Maintains all storage areas, shops and mechanical areas in a clean, safe and secure manner, reporting to the Chief Engineer anycorrective actions that need to be taken.
Keeps Chief Engineer promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance so that prompt corrective action can be taken.
Perform job duties with a minimum of disruption of the guest.
