Summary:

Responsible for the total store operations and profitability with direct authority over all functions, consisting of sales, production, processing, quality assurance, maintenance, safety, sanitation and human resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ensure opening and closing procedures are accomplished daily

• Delegate daily duties for Assistant Managers, Retail, & Confectioners

• Create weekly schedules

• Track weekly payroll

• Report on Labor Control by % and dollars

• Track actual sales vs. goals

• Maintain daily cash control procedures

• Create schedules orders for food products, packaging, and non-inventory items

• Recruiting and hiring new employees

• Maintain new hire forms and information

• Train new hires

• Coach employees

• Perform consistent scheduled reviews

• Maintain seasonal changeovers and appearance

• Ensure store & employee appearance meets Popcornopolis Standards

• Ensure all safety procedures are followed

• Ensure all Popcornopolis & local Health Dept. regulations are followed

• Train all employees on Health Code requirements

• Maintain repairs & maintenance schedule

• Ensure all cleaning duties are performed regularly

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Delegate daily duties for Assistant Managers, Retail & Confectioners. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these managers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; performing consistent scheduled reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Must have valid driver’s license of the state in which employed.

• No more than 2 violations within the last 36 months

• No serious motor vehicle violations (DUI, DWI, reckless driving, etc.)

• Must have valid health card in applicable states

• Able to successfully pass background investigation, pre-employment personality screening and drug testing.

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 6-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three to five (3-5) years of sales experience, and three to five (3-5) years of management experience. Experience in a production environment preferred.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public in English.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

Computer Literacy preferred in: Word processing, Spreadsheets (Excel), E-mail, Manufacturing software, Database software.

Mechanical Skills:

There is a basic knowledge of equipment and repair necessary for this job classification.
