The Hyatt Regency Suites Atlanta NWis looking for a dynamic and seasoned Server. The ideal candidate will possess 1-2 years of previous experience as a Server. Hotel experience preferred.
The duties include but are not limited to:
Major Responsibilities
* Empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our guests at all times, take pride in representing JHM Hotels professionally with our guests and assuring that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
* Understand and apply all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for associates and guests at all times. In the event of an accident or emergency, get medical attention if necessary and contact GM or MOD immediately.
* Maintains an organized and efficient Food Beverage Department.
* Determines, communicates and monitors achievement standards and standards of performance on a timely basis.
* Demonstrate a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, as well as the local area to effectively assist guests.
* Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company associates to foster and promote a positive working environment.
Essential Job Functions
* Ensure guest satisfaction through dining room cleanliness and attention to guests needs.
* Follow safety and sanitation procedures in handling all food and beverage items and to meet any local government certification.
* Thoroughly and correctly sets up the assigned work station prior to opening and cleans station at end of shift according to JHM and Franchisors operational policies and standards to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction.
* Completes all necessary side?work as per restaurant schedule.
* Knowledgeable about all menu items, their garnish, contents and preparation methods.
* Answers guests questions regarding such with confidence and accuracy.
* Is aware of all daily specials, soups, drinks, wines and 86 items.
* Greets guests promptly at table.
* Utilizes suggestive selling techniques to increase check averages.
* Abides by all County, State, Federal and Company laws and policies regarding the service of
alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
* Takes order accurately and inputs into kitchen food management and ordering system. Follows proper procedures in completing guest checks and submitting information to kitchen.
* Check guest order prior to serving to insure that appearance, temperature and portions are correct.
* Serve guest order promptly according to service standards. Returns as appropriate to ensure all of guests needs are being met and to suggestively sell other items.
* Pre?busses and busses all tables as per restaurant standards and prepares for future customers.
* Performs all closing check list items as assigned. Cleans walls, floors, equipment, shelving and service units to company standards to insure maximum sanitation, cleanliness and safety at all times. Places all debris in appropriate, designed location.
* Notifies manager of all food and beverage supplies needed to ensure efficient operation of restaurant.
* Has working knowledge of property and all facilities to respond to guest questions effectively.
* Works independently with little supervision.
