Maintains all areas of the store, both inside and out, in a clean and orderly condition. Assists management in providing direction and priorities to ensure the unit is clean and up to standard.

Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities  

• Performs duties of Sanitation Specialist.  

− Cleans/mops floors and applies floor drier.  

− Cleans all equipment.

− Maintains the sanitation area

− Cleans break rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, and other work areas.

− Cleans and picks up trash in parking lot, exterior building, landscaping, and dumpster area.

− Dusts furniture and equipment.

− Washes walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills.

− Empties and cleans wastebaskets and ashtrays, inside and out.

− Transports trash and waste to disposal area.

− Replenish bathroom supplies.

− Replaces light bulbs.

− Stocks and rotates stock.

− Cleans lint, dust, oil, and grease from lobby areas and production/retail areas.

− Scrubs processing tanks and vats.

• Unloads delivery truck and put away stock.

• Arranges boxes, material, and other equipment in neat and orderly manner.

• Creates schedules for Sanitation Specialists.

• Assists in inspecting, troubleshooting, and assessing any equipment problems to ensure optimum utilization and performance.

• Demonstrates safety consciousness and promotes store safety, e.g. shoes, floor cones, MVR’s, etc.  

• Maintains a high level of store sanitation and cleanliness, e.g. cleaning schedule, and all checklists, training, etc; oversees proper upkeep of store facility and equipment.

• Assists in managing company resources responsibly including inventory control.

• Assists in communicating and models company standards and policies.

• Assists in implementing efficiently and eff ectively directives from store, corporate, and divisional management.

 Supervisory Responsibilities:

Assists in supervising and provides work directions for sanitation employees in the store. Assists in carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include assisting with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

• Must have valid health card in applicable states

• Able to successfully pass background investigation, pre-employment personality screening and drug testing.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1- 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between English words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences in English.

Math Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
