Injection Molding Associates - Automotive

Spartan Staffing is currently seeking candidates for temporary-to-hire Injection Molding Operators at a facility located in Greencastle, IN. The company is a manufacturer of interior and exterior automotive parts and utilizes plastic molding, painting and assembly process for the production of parts. Employees will be responsible for the operation plastic injection molding machines. These positions are on a swing shift with a rotating schedule. Starting pay rate is 10.00 per hour.

Job Duties:

- Observe continuous operation of automatic machines to ensure that products meet specification

- Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.

- Trim excess material on parts using knives and grinding scrap plastic into powder for reuse

- Observe meters and gauges to verify and record temperatures, pressures, and press-cycle times

- Unload finished products from conveyor belts and pack them in containers

- Inventory and record quantities and finished products, requisition addition supplies as necessary

Qualified candidates must:

- Have a strong attention to detail and be quality minded

- Be able to work 12 hour shifts on a rotating schedule

- Be able to work overtime
