Host/Hostess - Part-time

We have a part-time opening for a Host/Hostess.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

The Hilton Garden Inn AtlantaAirportis looking for a dynamic and seasoned Host/Hostess. The ideal candidate will possess 1-2 years of previous experience as a Host/Hostess. Hotel experience preferred.
The duties include but are not limited to:
Major Responsibilities
. Empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our guests at all times, take pride in representing JHM Hotels professionally with our guests and assuring that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
. Demonstrate a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, as well as the local area to effectively assist guests.
. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company associates to foster and promote a positive working environment.
. Understand and apply all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for associates and guests at all times. In the event of an accident or emergency, get medical attention if necessary and contact GM or MOD immediately.
Essential Job Functions
. Display friendly attitude greeting and seating guests. Seat and present guest with clean menus. Seat all stations equitably assuring equal distribution of parties.
. Keep reception area clean and neat.
. Know locations of all outlets and services.
. Answer phone properly and promptly giving name of restaurant and identifying self.
. Be familiar with menu items and daily specials, including basic knowledge of food and ingredients.
. Assist guests in finding rooms, conference rooms, meeting rooms and banquets when necessary.
. Know what is happening on property in order to assist guests as needed.
. Assure smooth transition at shift change remaining on duty until relief is present.
. Collect and inspect all menus, discarding all worn ones and then replacing them.
. Have strong menu knowledge about the offerings in the restaurant(s).
. Keep Reservation Book up to date and accurate at all times.
. Responsible for the use of a bank when needed.
. Be flexible, reliable and available for scheduling due to business demands.
. Clear tables, pour water and reset tables as needed
. Understand all property safety standards and comply with these rules at all times.
. Work independently with little supervision.
