We have an immediate opening for a Personal Care Assistant.
Must be able to work various shifts per week.

The Director of Resident Relations is responsible for setting the schedule and hours for this position.
The ESSENTIAL DUTIES will include, but not be limited to:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed.
- Ambulate and transfer resident utilizing assistive devised and body mechanics.
- Make beds and change linen per policy and as needed.
- Wash and fold laundry as needed.
- Assist and serve meals in dining room.
- Keep resident’s apartment clean, neat and personal belongings in orderly arrangement
- Report changes in needs to supervisor.
- Participate in all training and in-service programs
- Exhibit and performs proper hand-washing techniques.
- Maintain proper infection control procedures when handling clothing, linen and when assisting with bathing
- Detect, correct and report to the supervisor any unsafe conditions, which may result in bodily injury or fire
- Provide maximum resident care services to assure well-being of residents to greatest degree.
- Executive duties and responsibilities in conformance with established routine.
- Assure physical comfort, safety and mental well being of residents. Assist with daily requirements and tasks in care of resident, such as transfer assistance, grooming, bathing, dressing, escorting of residents.
- Possesses knowledge of procedures and techniques.
- Encourage and motivate resident to participate in activities
- Transport and remain with residents to doctor’s appointment as directed.
- Inform supervisor of any changes in resident’s condition, both mentally and physically.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This position requires the use of a cell phone to conduct essential job duties and is not subject to the “no cell phone” policy. Cell phone usage is to be confined to business calls during working hours and a company paid cell phone must be used so as not to incur extra expense for the company.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- To be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- To be able to reach, bend, kneel, and squat.
- To be able to walk and stand on a repetitive and constant basis.
- To be able to use step stools.
- To be able to wear protective gloves supplied by the facility.
- To be able to be in contact with domestic pets.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent and/or may be certified by the State of TN approved program.
