Flux Core Welder
A National Steel Fabricating Company in South Louisiana is looking for Flux core Welders! Several Positions Available!
The welder welds together structural metal components as specified by blueprints, work orders, or oral instructions. The welder is responsible for binding together structural components by using welding equipment to generate heat to melt and deposit metal from an electrode to a work piece, thereby joining together two otherwise separate components.
Welder Job Duties:
The welder welds together structural metal components as specified by blueprints, work orders, or oral instructions. The welder utilizes knowledge of working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials including the specifications of the particular equipment to be used in the process. In the sequence of work activities, the welder's job follows that of the fitters, welding together structural components that have previously been tacked into place. The flux core welder does welding with the flux core machine which consists of a wire feeder system instead of stick only. A welder flux core needs to know how to regulate the temperature, gas, and speed of the machine. He/she needs to know how to do basic trouble shooting of the machine in case it breaks down or isn't working properly. He/she welds at a higher temperature with this machine and the welds are more technical and precise.
Temp to Perm Assignment; No per diem or relocation compensation is offered.
Hourly Pay: $14.00 - $17.00/ hour DOE
Hours: Day Shift: Monday thru Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm Friday 7:00am-3:30pm Saturday 7:00am-11:00am
Night Shift: Monday thru Thursday 5:30pm-3:00am Friday 3:30pm-11:00pm
Must have Steel Toe Boots, all PPE is provided
A Standard Visual and Bend-Strap Test will be administered
