Stick Welder - Welding Installation

Spartan Staffing is seeking qualified candidates from the Greensburg, IN area for a Stick Welder position. This is a seasonal long term opportunity with a well positioned company, shift runs from 8 am to 5 pm,( during summer months early starttime 7am) Monday –Friday and some overtime on weekends. The starting pay rate is $13.00.

Job Duties: 

- Responsible for performing various welds. Some will require being positioned at various elevations as high as 125 feet off ground.( Will be Caged, crane and tied off)

 Job Requirements:

 Qualified candidates MUST have the following:

- 1 year preferred job experience with Stick welding, that is verifiable, is required

- Prior experience with older materials or on repair projects is preferred but not required

- Fabrication experience a plus

- Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat (in all weather conditions)

- Physically fit and able to stand, bend, walk, push/pull and lift 80lbs, during a work shift,

-Willing to submit to a basic ruler test, safety assessment worksteps test to ensure physical ability to perform job duties, and tescor (work ethics survey)

- Values a teamwork enivornment but respects authority with an up beat personality, dependable, self motivated to arrive to work ontime ( 15 min before shift starts)

- Quality conscious, good work ethic

- Safety conscious and wear proper safety equipment ( must have steel toe boots, and hard hat)
