Inventory Handler

Spartan Staffing is seeking candidates for a Inventory Handler in the Des Moines, IA. Our customer is seeking warehouse laborers to assist in putting received stock in to inventory. These are temp to Hire positions on day shifts -9 am to 6:00 pm , Monday – Friday. The pay rate is $14.00 per hour.

 Job Duties:

 - Work with inventory by pulling parts and orders for shipments

-Assist in preparing shipments via our trucks, common carriers or UPS

- Assist in putting received stock into inventory

- Distribute Pick tickets and create bills of lading

- Verify receiving documentation, including packing slips, purchase orders and invoices

- Responsible for entering receipts of material into computerized inventory control system.

- Manual labor consist of moving material around job site as needed - and clean up.

 Job Requirements:Qualified candidates MUST have the following:

 -1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment

-Experience with an RF Scanner gun a plus

-Shipping experience with waybills and basic computer skills is an asset

-Excellent attendance required, dependable transportation, good work ethic, able to work overtime and some weekends

-Physically fit, stand, walk, bend, push/pull, kneel and lift 50 lbs repeatedly during a 8 hour shift

-Able to multitask and works well in a team environment, respects authority

- Must follow safety regulations and wear proper safety equipment (steel toed boots )
