Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse - (NICU RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $33.71 *
This Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) Unit is a Level IIIb unit that provides highly specialized care. The 42-bed unit is staffed by a comprehensive team that includes board-certified Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners. All NICU and Newborn Nursery Staff are Certified Providers of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program. This unit prides themselves on a comfortable and comprehensive experience for all patients and are looking for a team based NICU Travel RN to join their elite group

The role of the neonatal intensive care nurse (NICU nurse) is to provide direct and specialized care for newborns needing close monitoring due to premature birth, birth defects, infection, or other medical conditions requiring surgery or therapy. Working in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with doctors and other healthcare professionals, the NICU RNs assist in developing and implementing a plan of care for high-risk newborns requiring high-technology care, including ventilators, incubators, or other special equipment or surgery.

The hospital offers a wide range of medical services, including diagnostic breast care, pediatrics, and oncology, among many others. In addition to its main facility, the hospital offers specialized services at dedicated diabetes and wound treatment centers and a sleep disorders clinic. The 595-bed hospital also boasts a 24-hour emergency department and a Level IIIb NICU.
