BREAKFAST ATTENDANT

SUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating activities of continental breakfast area to provide fast and courteous service to patrons.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility in a safe and satisfactory manner, and the individual must be punctual and have a good attendance record, and have reliable means of transportation to work. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

All employees are required to assist any customer or potential customer in a prompt, courteous, friendly, and helpful manner at all times.
Greets guests.
Promptly responds to customer requests and concerns.
Keeps continental breakfast area clean, neat and well-stocked, replenishing food and beverage items throughout shift as needed.
Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
Cleans public restrooms as needed.
Cleans lobby, stairwells, corridors and other common areas as needed.
Cleans equipment such as microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, etc.
Reports guest or employee safety hazards, maintenance problems or needed repairs to management immediately.
Follows Company policy and procedures regarding proper usage of cleaning products, usage of safety equipment.
Assists in housekeeping operations as needed.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


EXPERIENCE: Minimum one month related experience or training preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to:

Read, in English, a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
Ability to speak to customers and employees using simple English phrases and sentences.


REASONING ABILITY: Must have developed reasoning abilities to the point to be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and continuously perform the prescribed assigned tasks for significantly extended periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
