JOB SUMMARY:

Manages, directs and supervises all facets of the casino cages

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Protection of assets
  • Ensure periodic maintenance of cage equipment
  • Maintain payroll, overtime and tardiness
  • Ensure all pertinent memos are distributed to the cages
  • Conduct quarterly Sealed Bank Inventories
  • Order currency weekly and communicate needs to Controller
  • Conduct periodic surveillance reviews
  • Ensure Guest Service Reps have all needed passwords
  • Cover shifts as needed
  • Development of employee incentives
  • Supervision of all operation agreements and contracts
  • Continued improvements of cage systems and procedures
  • Development of cage automation and computer integration
  • Continued supervision of check cashing policies and bad debt ratios
  • Development of inner departmental cooperation and teamwork
  • Departmental supply maintenance
  • Departmental scheduling
  • Direct and professional demeanor when speaking with guest and fellow employees.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of cage experience required.
  • BSA knowledge and training preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:

Must be able to obtain a valid State of Colorado Gaming License
Must be able to obtain a valid State of Colorado Key Gaming License at management’s request.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work is done in the casinos were varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality may differ from day to day.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises between 25-35 non-supervisory employees.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; discipline; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
