Labor Ready is currently seeking candidates for Welder positions at John Deere located in Valley City, ND. John Deere is the world’s leading manufacturer of farm equipment. This facility produces state-of-the-art air seeders. Employees will be responsible for the welding of agricultural air seeding system components in a production environment. These positions have availability on all shifts - days, nights and weekends. Starting pay rate is $15.00 to $16.00 per hour.
Job Duties :
- Performs all welding operations according to instructions, blueprints and drawings.
- Loads and operates welding fixtures and positioners.
- Gas metal arc weld component parts using pulse arc process.
- Grind, file, and flame cut components.
- Observe prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform Assembly functions per production schedule.
- Report faulty operation of equipment, defective material, and questionable procedures.
- Move product to painting, assembly or storage area.
- Any other assigned job duties.
Qualified candidates must be able to:
- Lift 60lbs repeatedly
- Push, pull, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach overhead and walk repeatedly for a 10 hour shift
- Work a 40- 50 hour work week
- Work in a facility with limited heating and cooling controls
- Be easily adaptable and trainable
Minimum requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year post-vocational training
- Six months MIG welding experience in a production setting
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints
- Must be able to weld with settings of 440 to 660 IMPs
Additonal Hirining Requirements
- Candidates must submit a resume for review
- Perform a weld test and supply own weld helmut, weld smock, weld gloves and steel toe boots at the time of test
