Sewing Associate

Spartan Staffing, providing the power of people to light industrial operations, is currently looking to hire an experienced Sewing Specialist in Charleston, SC.

This position is in a pristine, climate controlled facility.  The position comes with great perks such as free lunch prepared by skilled chefs and a company that gives its employees ½ days off on Fridays to enable extra time for family and necessary appointments.  

Position Description:

- Sewing pre-cut fabric pieces together including bellows, roof covers, fire protection strips, sealing covers, skirts and roof shrouds

- Working with sharp objects including, but not limited to:  needles, scissors, picks, etc.

- Maintaining and servicing sewing machines; applying oil as needed

- Fulfilling company standard times and individual productivity goals.

- Fulfilling output requirements while reducing scrap levels.

- Lifting/moving 35 pounds.

Education Level for Position:  High School Diploma

Special skills/Qualifications Needed:

- Willingness to learn and work in other areas

- Ability to handle tasks requiring detailed (or precise) actions and manipulations.

- Ability to perform tasks efficiently while maintaining quality.
