MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN



DESCRIPTION: Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.



REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience and machine repair field.
  • HS Diploma, or equivalency required, with Trade School degree, or Journeyman training a plus.
  • Must have ability to troubleshoot CNC and Manual equipment and perform on-site repair.
  • Ability to perform preventive and reactive maintenance in a team environment.
  • Basic Knowledge of CNC programming and operating equipment.
  • Machine rebuilding, welding, cutting and fitting experience a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, rebuild, repair, troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Good Math and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge and experience using a variety of hand and power tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Have basic knowledge and understanding of OSHA requirements.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. from floor to waist height, if necessary.
  • Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours per day, if necessary, for 6 days in a given week.


DUTIES:
  • Perform maintenance on machines using standard machine maintenance techniques.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining variety of manual and CNC machines.
  • Assist with plant layout, HVAC, plumbing and related system maintenance.
  • Work from complicated drawings, sketches, schematics, equipment specifications, job layouts, and/or instruction manuals to perform a wide range of maintenance duties.
  • Perform predictive/preventive maintenance and maintain control documents as needed.
  • Maintain hydraulics and industrial electrical systems; diagnose and rebuild equipment.
  • Utilize skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
