Assistant Teacher: Child Care for Morning Program (7am-9am)

We have TWO programs: a Before School Program which is from 7:00am-9:10am and an After School Program from 2:45pm - 6:30pm.  Both Programs begin in September and run with the school calendar.  There are currently openings in our AM Program 2-3 days per week but more days may be available shortly.  Sub positions for the AM and PM program are available.

A.C.C. is a small non-profit child care organization and enrichment program that cares for approximately 10-20 children between the ages of 5 and 10 in our morning program.

Special Traits that might make you great for the job:

• Punctual, reliable, and dedicated.

• A good role model who teaches confidence and problem solving skills.

• Someone who can motivate children be active and social.

• Skills in Arts & Crafts are a plus!

Creativity and initiative are encouraged, and you may choose to lead the children in appropriate projects approved by the Head Teacher.  If you are not leading or assisting in a project, game, or activity, you should be playing and engaging with the children, making sure they are safe, happy, and comfortable.  Morning Teachers would be responsible for set up and clean up each day, taking attendance, helping children with breakfast while being aware of any food allergies. Experience in childcare would be wonderful, but not necessary.
