We have an immediate opening for a Receptionist.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides administrative support to the administrative staff.
  • Clerical duties:  typing, filing, sorting and distributing mail, making copies, preparing and updating chart, end of year storage maintenance incoming and outgoing calls, desktop publishing and creating and developing visual presentations. Types and designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar, and layout, making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.  Drafts written responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary. Responds to regularly occurring requests for information. Answers phones and takes messages or fields/answers all routine and non-routine questions.
  • Sorts and distributes mail
  • Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and calls. Page if call warrants or take message if applicable.
  • Act as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies. Handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary.
  • Sell stamps and make change.
  • Sell lunch tickets.
  • Work order for maintenance departments.
  • Monitor visitors to front office (including residents). Make sure the person, the visitor wants to see, is available before they are permitted into the office.
  • Greet all visitors to the facility, answer questions and give directions.
  • Count money in Gift Shop boxes and fix box for the next day.
  • Make sure all monies are locked up and phone is switched to the Health Care Wing before leaving each day.

EDUCATION:

High school degree or equivalent and continued education (college or technical courses).  Computer literate.  Knowledge of and experience with various filing systems, typing and proofreading. Prefer candidate with a minimum of one-year experience working hand on with senior population.

Have the ability to deal well with people and provide excellent customer services.
Have the ability to interpret and comply with ACV procedures and guidelines.

PHSICAL DEMANDS:

  • To be able to lift up to   10 lbs.
  • To be able to reach, bend, kneel and squat
  • To be able to walk and stand on a repetitive and constant basis.
  • To be able to use step stools.
  • To be able to hear call system, pager signals and spoken English language.
  • To be able to wear protective gloves supplied by the facility.
