We are hiring qualified candidate for a Skilled Carpenter in the Des Moines, IA area. Our customer is seeking candidates that have one years experience with rough or finished carpentry skills. These are Temporary positions working days , Monday –Friday, 6:00 am to 3:30 pm . The pay is based on experience up to $14.00 per hour.

 

Job Duties:

 

- Skilled in all phases of carpentry, especially rough or finishing carpentry.

- Ability to operate miter saw, table saw & hand tools

- General labor to include: moving materials weighing and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs, and removal of construction debris

- Will assist with building counters, cabinets and desks

- Construction clean up as needed 

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

Qualified candidates MUST have the following:

      - 1 years experience as a carpenter, that is verifiable

      - able to work in warm environment,

      - Having own carpentry tools is a plus

 

-Excellent attendance required, dependable transportation , good work ethic

-Physically fit, walk, bend and lift 50 lbs repeatedly during a 8 hour shift,

- Must follow safety regulations and wear proper safety equipment (safety glasses, hard hat, steel toed boots, and safety vest, work gloves.)
