Diesel Mechanic Summary: Repair and inspect company equipment in a safe, timely, cost effective and practical manner.
Diesel Mechanic Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Mon - Fri and 8:00am - 2:00pm Sat
Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Routine and preventative maintenance.
- Build, rebuild and repair all parts of automotive equipment, as may be required in the department assigned to.
- Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, other breakdown or failure.
- Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of the components parts and systems.
- Engine repair and overhaul.
- Inspect equipment used
- Read precision instruments.
- Micrometers, dial indicators, bored gauges, etc.
- When applicable use welding skills.
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualified Candidates For The Position Will Have Met The Following:
- Required:
- Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED & 3 years of related equipment maintenance and repair.
- Must furnish own tools.
- Valid drive license
- Preferred:
- Mechanical or trade school certificate
- CDL
- Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience
