Kohl's is currently hiring Loss Prevention Supervisors!

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develops and implements Store awareness programs addressing theft, safety, inventory, and operational controls
  • Administers theft prevention, awareness, and deterrence programs in the store
  • Monitors Store compliance with Company policies and procedures on theft prevention, safety, inventory, and operational controls
  • Works in partnership with Store Management to ensure operational excellence and reduce exposure to theft through assessments and Associate training/awareness
  • Directs workflow and supervises Loss Prevention Officers and Service Specialists/Door Greeters; assigns tasks, communicates policies, trains new LP Associates and creates department work schedules
  • Conducts safety and fire inspections to monitor Store’s compliance with Company policies and procedures and oversees the Store’s Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) program
  • Works to create a “culture of honesty” and “impression of control” in the Store through periodic overnight or early morning surveillance and regular Associate package checks
  • Performs other duties such as assisting the District Loss Prevention Manager to attract and recruit Loss Prevention Officers; assisting with Loss Prevention functions in other stores; attending court hearings on Kohl’s behalf; collecting public record information from local law enforcement agencies; assisting in the preparation and taking of physical inventory, USA counts, destruction of damage/defective merchandise, and the execution of legal product recalls.

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in retail Loss Prevention is preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of surveillance and apprehension techniques; demonstrated ability to make decisions in stressful situations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; basic math and reading skills and legible handwriting
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft Word, Excel and various other computer programs
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of working time moving around the store, including stock storage areas, office areas and the selling floor. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting, climbing, standing, and reaching on a frequent basis. Associate must be capable of detaining theft suspects
  • Adheres to Company policies and procedures and maintains high ethical standards
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
