Warehouse Assistant

The Warehouse Assistant plays a huge and important role in the flow of operations in the company. They are responsible for maintaining the warehouse and providing excellent internal customer service by ensuring the proper floral items are maintained, selected and provided to all departments. We want a team member who can work well with others, fast, smart and be organized.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

WAREHOUSE

• Identifies and understands all flowers stocked in the warehouse.
• Unpacks shipments, cuts, packs and hydrates flowers on a daily basis.
• Maintains a log of all flowers in the warehouse.
• Ensures quality of all flowers maintained in coolers.
• Monitors and documents waste of product in warehouse.
• Delivers products within predetermined timeframes to retail locations.
• Ensures warehouse is swept, maintained and OSHA compliant.

TEAM FOCUS

• Assists designers in installing large floral arrangements on location as needed.
• Forms strong working relationships within team.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Self-starter who is energetic and flexible.
• Maintains a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situations.
• Prioritizes responsibilities to achieve results.
• Nonsmoker.
• Follows direction.
• Withstands cold temperatures (32 degrees) for an extended period of time.
• Minimum one year of janitorial and/or warehouse experience.
• Valid driver’s license and “clean” driving record.
• Gardening or “love of flowers” preferred.
• Experience operating a pallet jack preferred.
