Sales Associate / Phone and In-store Sales We have an immediate opening for a Sales Associate. Part-time and Full-time positions available, depending on hours available and flexibility. We are open 8:30am until 6pm Monday through Friday and 8:30am until 4pm on Saturdays. Closed on Sundays except for major floral Holidays. What we expect you to do: -Sell floral arrangements and plants over the phone and in our floral shop. -Help our clients by offering the right gift of flowers or plants for the occasion, matching the customers expectations with appropriate value by using our proven method of selling flowers. -Utilize our computer system and correctly enter all important information about our customers and recipients, including Name, Address, Phone Numbers, Email Address and customer preferences on EVERY order. Educate our clients about our shop, our values, and our variety of gifts and services. -Keep our in-store merchandise in its best condition by watering and cleaning our plants, flowers and gift merchandise, as well as removing unsalable items from the sales floor. -Create ribbon bows, boutonnieres, wristlets, and other small arrangements for dances, weddings and other occasions. -Assist in marketing efforts by sending letters and postcards, writing Thank-you notes, completing data-entry projects, and taking pictures and giving ideas for Social Media campaigns.

Knowledge and Skills you will need: -Typing/Keyboarding skills -Computer Skills, including understanding of Word and Excel or comparable Mac programs -Cashiering and Register operations -Floral Design skills such as wiring, taping, bow-making and creating basic floral designs. Ideally, these skills are brought to the job by the associate, but are easily learned by working with designers and staff and repetitive practice. -Flower and plant care. Ideally, these skills are brought to the job by the associate, but are easily learned by working with fellow staffers. -Store maintenance and any other flower shop operations which may be taught to the associate.

Clear and precise phone communication, excellent listening skills, legible handwriting, and superior typing and computer abilities. -Non-smoker.
