Sales Associates/Kitchen Assistants – Full-Time and Part-Time

The Sales Associates/Kitchen Asisstant position is responsible for helping customers with their dessert selections and custom design cakes.  All sales associates are trained to assist the bakers, pastry chefs, and decorators.  Cakes by Happy Eatery is looking for individuals that are able to multi-task, enjoy customer service, and have a natural sales ability.  Good communication and math skills are a must.  Excellent stamina is a must, since hte position requires a lot of standing, walking, and lifting.  Like all other bakery staff members, the sales associate is responsible in maintaining the bakery in a clean and professional appearance.  All sales associates are required the help the kitchen wash dishes.  Depending on the background and ability of the candidate, this individual will participate in the marketing events - such as trade shows/open houses – or set-up desserts for catered events.   This is a good entry-level position for those individuals in a culinary program or those wanting a career in the food industry.  Depending on the individual’s ability and capability to handle the sales duties, this individual will be crossed-trained in pastry production.
