We have an immediate opening for a Room Attendant.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Requirements

Job Summary: The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning guest rooms in accordance with standards of quality and quantity as established by BEST WESTERN.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Practices life safety and security practices in accordance with Franchisor standards.
  • Collects cleaning supplies from storerooms needed for the day.
  • Obtains carts from linen rooms on guest floors.
  • Removes linens, towels and anything soiled from rooms and sends to laundry as soon as possible.
  • Communicates with the Executive Housekeeper on the status of each room.
  • Removes trash from rooms and replaces waste basket liners.
  • Sprays sinks, tubs and stools with sanitizer; cleans bathrooms with rubber gloves; sweeps and scrubs bathroom floor.
  • Vacuums rooms; makes beds; dusts high and low; vacuums halls.
  • Checks drawers, nightstand, etc., for lost items or trash in vacated rooms.
  • Washes windows, mirrors, drawers, etc.
  • Stocks bathrooms with towels and amenities.
  • Assures that all literature is in each room.
  • Clears trash and food trays from hallways, removing food to the garbage.
  • Notifies supervisor of any needed maintenance.
  • Assists in training of new associates as directed.
  • Assists in the laundry or other areas as directed.
  • Communicates issues, concerns, complaints, compliments, and suggestions to the management of the organization and not to other associates, guests, etc.
  • Supports the Best Western Mission Statement, Vision Statement, philosophy, policies and procedures.
  • Does whatever it takes to create OUTRAGEOUS GUEST SERVICE.
