Cashier

Bar T Travel Center is a 24 hour convenience store and truck stop that is hiring part time and full time staff.  We are searching for qualified candidates to work one or more of the following shifts:  2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am.  NO PHONE CALLS TO THE STORE INQUIRING ABOUT THE POSITION OR YOUR APPLICATION AS WE ARE BUSY ASSISTING OUR CUSTOMERS!

Bar T is a store dedicated to providing superior customer service and, therefore, we ask that a team member meet the following requirements and will be asked to perform the following job duties:

Major Responsibilities

• Provide the best customer experience to every customer
• Greet every guest with a smile and sincere “Hello”
• Demonstrate and promote teamwork
• Maintain personal grooming and appearance at all times
• Follow company guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Maintain punctual attendance
• Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently
• Suggest possible purchases to the customers and promote specials
• Maintain accurate register transactions
• Sweep and mop floors
• Clean and maintain immaculate restroom facilities
• Empty indoor and outdoor trash containers
• Receive vendor deliveries as required
• Stock shelves and refrigerated coolers
• Inventory specific store items
• Maintain a clean environment inside and around the perimeter of the store
• Exhibit personal accountability for every action
• Must be able to work a flexible shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Minimum Requirements

• Prior cash handling experience
• Ability to perform basic mathematics
• Access to reliable transportation
• Ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to bend down, stoop low, and stand for at least 8 hours
• Ability to properly lift, pull, and/or push up to 50 lbs
• Successfully complete certification testing as needed--TABC
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background investigation
