About this job

The Restaurant Marketing Director will be the liaison to the Katy area representing and growing the Chick-fil-A brand. This position will be developing, directing and enhancing marketing and community relations. The RMD is will report directly to the Operator at Chick-fil-A Katy Mills (located off of Pin Oak Rd.).

RMD responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Operator to create a marketing plan
  • Executing the marketing plan
  • Tracking redemptions
  • Handling all donation requests
  • Monitoring effectiveness of marketing activities and tracking dollars spent against budget
  • Planning and overseeing in-store relationship building activities (Family Nights, various activities for children, Fund Raising events, Spirit Nights, etc.)
  • Building relationships within the community (Some RMDs have done this by distributing PALs/BOGs at community events, distributing food and catering menus to local businesses, setting up cross-promotions and school programs, as well as involving Chick-fil-A in community-wide events.)
  • Set up in-store sampling program
  • Manage and regularly update the restaurant website and connect with the community leveraging social media

 Job Characteristics:

  • Traditionally, a RMD works 30-40 hours per week.
  • Most UMDs work out of the restaurant and some at home.
  • The job responsibilities enable the UMD to have a flexible work schedule.
  • Specific hours vary depending on the task to be accomplished. (e.g. may occasionally involve Saturday work for special events or evenings for Kid’s Nights)
  • Use of a personal vehicle is required for community-related work. Mileage reimbursed.
  • Outside sales, previous marketing experience or CFA experience are all a plus, but not a requirement.
