We have an immediate opening for a Shuttle Driver.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Requirements

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for safely transporting guests to and from the airport and/or local destinations in a friendly and courteous manner. Maintaining clean public areas is also essential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Guests:

  • Assists all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, whenever possible going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure guest are greeted upon arrival and make time to interact effectively with guests. Respond appropriately to guest complaints, solicit feedback and build relationships to drive continuous improvement in guest satisfaction.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly shuttle, lobby and guest public areas and take immediate action to correct any issues.
  • Associate is knowledgeable of hotel as well as area services and facilities to effectively assist guests. Has a general knowledge of the local area.

Associates:

  • Responds positively to co-workers and is receptive to instruction and training.
  • Practices good daily hygiene and wears the correct uniform, cleaned and well-pressed with name tag.
  • Maintains good working relations with others and is willing to cooperate and support co-workers.
  • Maintains all appropriate paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates good judgment by being flexible, making observations, reacting quickly and adjusting to different guest situations, using discretion and giving consideration for security and information. Associate is able to cope with stress, showing self-control during periods of high demand.
  • Responsible or the set-up and breakdown of all meeting room/banquets according to operational policies and standards.
  • When not transporting guests to and from destinations; grounds keeping, light cleaning of guest public areas and/or laundry duties are expected to be completed.

Financial:

  • Maintains organized storage areas and adequate inventory of supplies within budget as directed by General Manager.
  • Professionally and competently operates the shuttle according to Country Inns & Suites by Carlson standards.
  • Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for guests and associates.
  • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken.

** The Associate will be required to perform additional duties as directed by their Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent is required. All candidates must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

The incumbent must have good time management and organizational skills, the ability to handle pressure and multiple tasks simultaneously, have the ability to make quick decisions and be a team player. Individual must also have a cheerful disposition and the ability to interact easily with strangers, show self-control in stressful situations and maintain a neat appearance. Incumbent must have the ability to handle monetary transactions and give correct change. Individual must also possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history with no accidents or moving violations with in the past twelve months. A Chauffer’s endorsement or a CDL is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos such as safety rules, operating instructions, order sheets, documents, policies and procedures. Ability to complete company documents as directed by General Manager, as well as the ability to effectively and respectfully communicate with guests, staff members and vendors.
