About this job
We help our clients stay in their homes for as long as possible by providing companionship, home helper (meal preparation, light housekeeping, incidental transportation) and personal care services (bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming). CAREGivers are required to provide all of these services as may be needed by the client. We provide liability insurance and handle tax deductions for you.
These are great part-time positions for people who want to make a difference in someone's life. We offer flexible day shifts, weekends and overnights.
Requirements
You must:
- Be at least 19 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
- Be able to provide 6 character references (3 personal non-family members and 3 professional).
- Hold a valid driver’s license, have current automobile insurance and have your own reliable transportation to get to work site locations.
- Be able to speak and hear English clearly in person and on the telephone.
- Have the ability to read and write English on an adult level.
- Possess the ability to treat and care for clients in a friendly and congenial manner treating them with dignity and respect.
- Have good communication skills
- Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull and carry small items.
