Product Engineer

General Description
The Assistant provides support to the Engineering Department and conveys information to manufacturing.​  The Engineering Assistant reports to the Engineering Manager.​

 This position is full time Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Print detailed material take-offs within the company’s information system creating bills of materials for manufacturing and purchasing
• Understand production workflow thru the company and how it relates to the manufacturing process.​ This would include receiving, processing, packing and shipment
• Assist with production scheduling
• Communicate production issues to Lead Engineers
• Assist in maintaining and updating product details
• Update and maintain Product and Part catalog for vendors and customers
• Assist with the engineering of product
• Create customer drawings for approval
• Research and specify materials to be used on products
• Create programs for the CNC machine using internal software
• Demonstrate a professional attitude when approaching work assignments
• Display a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks
• Maintain outstanding attendance
• Other duties assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Detail oriented
• Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner
• Ability to exchange ideas and convey information accurately and clearly through verbal and written communication
• Work at a computer for long periods of time
• AutoCAD and Inventor software experience
• Familiarity with materials and hardware for cabinetry/​fixtures
• Ability to work productively in a team-oriented environment
