meaningful relationships. CAREGiver $9.25 per hour (starting) Basic Function: To provide professional companionship, home helper and personal care duties.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Overall light housekeeping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
2. Do laundry, change linens and make bed
3. Meal preparation
4. Escort for shopping and appointments
5. Assist with walking; provide a safe bath, range of motion exercises
6. Medication reminders
7. Respite care
Specialized Care Responsibilities $10.75 per Hour (starting) 1. Full bathing or toileting care
2. Regular incontinence care
3. Advanced dementia care as determined through evaluation Sleepover $92.00 per night (starting) Basic Function: To provide professional overnight assistance (10 hour shift)
Primary Responsibilities
1. All primary responsibilities of a CAREGiver (see above)
2. Assisting client to bed
3. Assisting clients throughout the night, recording the number of times assistance is needed (if client is up four or more times, CAREGiver receives “long night” pay which is an additional $18.00 per night )
4. Preparation of morning meal and cleanup of meal related items
Additional Responsibilities
1. Uphold core values.
2. Contribute to a positive living climate for the overall quality of life for the client.
3. Treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect.
4. Communicate with the client in a congenial manner.
5. Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned or requested.
6. Promptly report hours after every shift by calling the Hours Worked Hotline.
7. Reporting any significant changes in the clients’ needs or living conditions.
Essential Qualifications
1. High school diploma or GED
2. Must be 18 years of age
3. Must pass a criminal background check
4. Must have a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
5. Must have reliable consistent means of communication.
6. Ability to communicate in English: speaking, reading and writing on an adult level.
Special Requirements
1. Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations.
2. Ability to lift no more than 25 pounds, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling and carrying.
