The Weekend Service Supervisor is expected to perform a variety of on-call duties. The Weekend Service Supervisor is expected to work closely with the Staff Coordinator in order to provide the highest quality service to clients.
 
Primary
 
  • Arrive at the Home Instead Senior Care office by 4:30pm Friday afternoon.  Go over weekend schedule to prepare for the weekend.
 
  • After review, transfer office calls to cell phone.  Client and CAREGiver schedules are printed from BOSS and placed in on-call binder for supervisor to take for the weekend
 
  • During the weekend the supervisor’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
    1. Answering all incoming telephone calls and responding to them as needed
    2. Communicate with CAREGivers and clients regarding scheduling as changes arise
    3. Take messages and document all calls so office staff can respond if necessary Monday morning
    4. Contact backup person when questions arise about clients or CAREGivers that require input from regular office staff
    5. Fill in on assignments that come open until a replacement CAREGiver is found
 
  • Meet with backup Monday morning by 8:00 am to pass on any pertinent information from the weekend.  Also, to turn in cell phone and drop off on-call binder
Qualifications:
  • Must live in the Southeast part of Houston. (Baytown, League City, Clear Lake, Pearland, Pasadena, La Porte, Dickinson, Friendswood, Nassau Bay, and Seabrook)
  • Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.
  • Must have access to a computer with internet connection at home. Must be computer literate.
  • Must have flexibility with schedule. Must be able to work holidays. 
  • Must have leadership qualities. (You will be asked to give examples)
  • Must be an independent thinker with good judgment.
  • May be asked to fill in the office to answer phones, so must be professional and work minded.
  • Must be organized and be a quick thinker.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with office staff, seniors and their families, and other caregivers. 
  • Must be familiar driving within Southeast Houston, or have access to a navigation system.
  • Must genuinely care about the well-being of our clients and caregivers. You may have to fill-in as a caregiver, so you must be comfortable in a caregiving role. 
 
Training will be conducted by staff coordinator.
