The Cloud Technology Architect plans, designs, implements and supports enterprise-scale, automated, virtualized infrastructure and services for the company. The main function will be to deliver hybrid cloud computing technologies and services to the enterprise to enable rapid provisioning of infrastructure to support complex application needs. This position will have a broad range of responsibilities that require deep knowledge across the domains of enterprise architecture (physical and virtual servers, SAN, NAS, Linux/Window, Networking,etc); SOA technology as related to service delivery; and cloud technologies. The Cloud Technology Architect will design and deliver solutions that leverage virtualized computing resources from on premise and hosted providers. The resulting infrastructure will support secure infrastructure solutions which are highly available and proactively monitored to deliver new service platforms aligned with the IT goals and objectives. This is a technology leadership position that requires hands-on development and implementation within a fast-moving, agile group who interacts with and supports the team. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must pass the Drug Test. Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses. EDUCATION REQUIRED -
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 9 PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
  • 10 years of related experience.
  • MS degree. Deep knowledge across the domains of enterprise architecture (physical and virtual servers, SAN, NAS, Linux/Window, Networking,etc); SOA technology as related to service delivery; and cloud technologies. Working knowledge of Amazon, Rackspace, Terremark, and Azure commercial cloud providers. Understanding of the evolving Open Source technologies like OpenStack to integrate between on premise and hosted cloud offerings KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -
    Expert technical proficiency in one or more of the following: Retail applications, Windows platform, UNIX platforms, MVS COBOL, JAVA, J2EE, Relational Databases, Websphere Application Server, Websphere Commerce, Websphere MQ, Networking (Voice, LAN, WAN), SAP, Siebel, Peoplesoft. Comprehensive understanding of systems, applications, and/or networks so that practical solutions can be provided that factor system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability, and overall cost to develop and maintain. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Strong oral and written communications skills.
